Best Ab Workout for Men-I got Six Pack Abs in 2 Weeks!

I’m going to show you today how I got six pack abs in 2 weeks and why I consider this the best ab workout for men, period!
In order for us men to get a 6 pack, we have to understand that men’s exercises for six pack abs vary completely from women’s in terms of ability and capacity.
There are too many people who treat their abdominal workout as if the ab muscles are completely different from any other muscle group in the body. They will do their chest workout, legs, shoulders, biceps, and triceps only once per week yet insist on doing their ab workout routine every day!
Why? I ask. What about the muscular make up of the ab muscles are different than the chest, leg or any other muscles on the body?
Any muscle that goes through a rigorous workout needs recovery time. A period of time (usually days) where the muscles can rebuild themselves into stronger muscles. This is why, to me, it makes no sense to do abs workouts every day. You are simply depleting the muscles of the chance to recover and that is no way to get six pack abs in 2 weeks, a month, 3 years or any length of time!
Why is it the Best Ab Workout for Men and not Women?
This ab workout routine can be done by women, easily! The only thing is, I’ve noticed from my experience in the gym that men have a better understanding of the functioning and how to engage their muscles over women. This makes men need greater challenges, such as weight resistance, to stimulate their muscles.
Most women find success in doing regular, body weight 6 pack ab exercises where as men, being naturally stronger, have to seek more challenging workouts.
This routine I’m about to explain to you helped me get six pack abs in 2 weeks only. This routine that I’m going to explain was done twice a week. I’d usually do them Monday and Friday to allow for the most time between according to my schedule.
Also, some of the exercises required weights but I’ll explain the replacement exercises I did when I didn’t have weights available.
The Best Ab Workout for Men has to be Done in UNDER 10 Minutes
You heard me correctly, this workout routine should be done in under 10 minutes. Most people will probably not be able to do it under ten minutes the first time but they should really try. After reading this, you’ll understand why this is the best ab workout for men!
- Jack Knives (12 reps)- Lie on back with arms straight out overhead with legs straight and toes pointing away from the body. Raise legs and shoulders in an attempt to touch the toes all while lifting the buttocks. The, simultaneously bring the legs and shoulders back to the ground to complete one rep.
- Windshield Wipers (18 reps)-Lie on the back with arms straight out to the side, palms down on the ground. Raise legs together straight so that they are perpendicular to the ground. Slowly lower the legs to the left until they are about 2 inches from the ground and then repeat to the right. Remember to keep legs straight and really tighten the abdominal muscles. This exercise is great for the obliques muscles.
- Sit ups (30 reps)- Simply perform a normal sit up, keep the back straight and muscles tight.
- Leg Hugs (15 reps)- Lie flat on back with the legs straight and toes pointed away from the body. Bend knees while attempting to bring them to the chest and hug the knees when they reach chest. Hold for 2 seconds and return to starting position to finish one rep.
- Weighted sit ups (20 reps)-I have a machine at my gym which allows me to add large amounts of resistance to my ab workout (100+ pounds) but when I do my ab workout routine at home, I’ll simply wear either a 40 lb weighted vest or put a 25 lb weight on my chest and perform the sit ups.
- Sicilian Sit ups (15 reps)-Perform sit ups as normal but when the top of the sit up is reached, extend arms over head just like was done with the Jack Knives. Remember to keep the back straight and the ab muscles tight. This is a great lower abs exercise!
- Russian Twists (20 reps)- Start in the top position of a normal sit up. Interlock fingers and extend arms in front of body so that they create a circle. Twist at the waist from left to right while keeping those six pack abs tight! Once to the left and once to the right constitutes one rep.
- Jack Knives (5 reps)- By now you’ll probably hate this exercise but it works wonders!
- Weighted Crunches (35 reps)-Hold a 25 pound weight in hands with arms extended straight out so that the weight is parallel with the ground. Perform a crunch (half a sit up).
Remember, if you’ve got belly fat, you might want to get rid of the belly fat first before thinking about six pack abs. If that belly fat isn’t burned, the muscles being built up by this ab workout routine will only push out the gut more giving a more pronounced “beer belly.” So, if you want to learn how to lose belly fat check out my favorite program:

I’ve been in fitness for years and this is by far the best ab workout for men I’ve found. I’ve had friends who have quit after the first 3 exercises but by sticking to this twice a week, I was able to get my six pack abs in 2 weeks!

Not very hard, and just because you got a six pack in two weeks doesn't mean that other people will. I'm a gymnast and a coach, I do abs sevens days a week and I have an extremely strong core but my abs do not look nearly as nice as they should…
That's because you do abs 7 days a week. Give 'em a break!
Good point Bob! I think he was just looking for a way to be a hater anyways. He hasn't responded back yet and I don't expect him to. Your muscles start to cannibalize after working them too much and abs are no different!

You may be a gymnast and a coach but you've got to work on your critical reading and informal logic. No where in this article did I say that everyone who does this will get a six pack in 2 weeks nor did I even insist on it. You took this article and assumed that I said it…
I will tell you this, everyone I know that tries the routine loves it and always tell me they feel sore for days after. If you don't have a six pack, maybe you've got too much fat on your midsection or maybe you don't have enough muscle built up. I don't know you so I couldn't tell you it's up to you to decide.

Matt, I can't promise you anything because it all depends on your fat levels right now and your metabolism rate and so many other factors. I'm just telling you what I did to get a six pack in 2 weeks
I just did the workout but added reps to some of the exercises, i spent time in the Marines and this is pretty comparable to getting "smoked" back in the days of bootcamp, great workout, I'll post my 2 week results.

I have to burn most of my fat off first before I can even consider Abs, Im 200 Ibs 6'2 but still I still have a big gut! Is there any fat burning exercises you can recommend without having me spend money on a program? I'd apprecite it thanks!
Well I think personally, for me, it was a combination of proper diet and just kept pushing at it. Always trying new exercises and pushing myself to different levels.
